Install the same Tidio Chat on two or more websites – Tidio

Did you know you can install the Tidio chat widget on multiple websites? This allows you to provide seamless live chat support across all your web properties. In this article, we will guide you through the process of installing the same Tidio chat on another website.

If you'd like to use a separate chat on each website - please follow the article explaining how to manage multiple projects instead. However, keep in mind that you may need to log into each panel separately.

Install the same Tidio Chat on another website

To begin, navigate to Settings > Live Chat > Installation section to find your unique JavaScript code. Copy the code.

Once you have copied the JavaScript code, go to the other website where you want to install the Tidio widget. Locate the header section of the website's HTML code. This is usually found just before the closing </head> tag.

Paste the copied JavaScript code directly above the closing </head> tag in the header section. If you're unsure about the placement, you can refer to our JavaScript installation tips or seek assistance from your web developer.

When installing Tidio chat on multiple websites, it's important to note that platform-specific installation methods, such as plugins, are not applicable in this case. Each website should use the same JavaScript code to maintain a shared chat appearance, operators, and panel settings. Installing the chat via the plugin will create a separate account!
