Creating Tidio account
You can create a new Tidio account by visiting our website, www.tidio.com, and clicking on Get started free button. This step will take you to our registration tour.
You'll now see a signing-up window where you'll need to provide your email address, password, and website URL to create a new account. Alternatively, you can also use one of the available platforms and download our ready-to-use Tidio plugin. To see the full list of available plugins, see our article about Installing Tidio.
As the first step in registering your Tidio account, you will need to provide your login email, create a password, and provide your website address. When you're ready, accept the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy and click Get started for free.
You'll now enter our configuration tour, where you will be asked for some business information and to adjust the basics of your chat widget.
Configure your live chat
The registration tour is comprised of three general steps.
Firstly, you will be asked to provide your own name, role in the organisation, and choose the preferred methods of communication:
Secondly, we will ask you about basic data regarding your business (like industry and company size), as this information will help us personalize your experience with Tidio:
Lastly, you will be asked about some information regarding your use of Tidio:
Once you're done with the initial survey, the next step is selecting the most important aspect that you'll want to focus on for now - like offering live chat support, building flows, or enabling our AI chatbot (Lyro).
You can skip this step and go directly to your newly-created Tidio project by using the I want to discover Tidio on my own option at the bottom.
Once you select and confirm your choice, however, you'll be taken to the project as well - but you will see the Getting started checklist of things you may want to focus on first (e.g. installing Tidio on your website, configuring the Help Desk, or managing automated flows):
Of course, you can skip these if you prefer, and manage your project in any order you like - and come back to any settings you might need later on. The Getting started page is simply there to help you start using Tidio, and give you access to everything you need - making sure you don't miss any important step.
When you start navigating your new Tidio project, you'll see a series of helpful tips which we recommend checking out in order to fully utilize Tidio.
