How to integrate Tidio with ActiveCampaign

Open your Tidio admin panel and navigate to the Integration section located in the left sidebar, right above Settings. Then, click on the ActiveCampaign tile.

You'll see a window with a summary of all integration benefits. To process, click on the blue Install ActiveCampaign button.

Now, you need to create a new connection. To do so, select New authentication.

Now you need to authenticate the connection. You will need an API Key from ActiveCampaign to do that. In order to get it:

Log in to your ActiveCampaign account
Go to the Settings section
Select Developers
Copy the API URL and key
Paste them when creating a new authentication with Tidio
Save a new connection and proceed to the next step

Now your connection with ActiveCampaign is set.

Next, you need to select Active Campaign’s List from the drop-down field. New subscribers will be added to this list. Remember! Tidio integration allows adding subscribers to a single list only.

Click Finish, and you are all set. Your integration with ActiveCampaign is ready. Now you can add new subscribers from Tidio to ActiveCampaign.

How to add new subscribers from Tidio to ActiveCampaign

New subscribers are added to ActiveCampaign from Tidio in a few scenarios:

Pre-Chat Survey

When you have the Pre-Chat Survey enabled and a user provides their email address and communication consent, this email will be automatically added to your ActiveCampaign list.

Manual status update

You can change a user’s subscriber status manually. When you change it to 'Subscribed,' we will pass the user's email to ActiveCampaign.

Flow

You can also add subscribers to ActiveCampaign using a flow and the ‘Subscribe for Mailing’ node. When you collect an email address using such a flow, we pass it automatically to your ActiveCampaign list.

💡

Remember! Active Campaign lists are double opt-in by default. That means a confirmation email is sent to the subscriber's email address whenever you try adding them to your list. You get a new subscriber in Active Campaign only if that user confirms their sign-up. You can change that in your Active Campaigns list settings.
