Hide the widget when offline
To access your visbility options, navigate to the Settings > Live Chat > Appearance section:
In this section, find your Widget Visibility settings, where you can change your configuration according to your preferences.
You can decide whether you wish to display the widget when you're offline, on which devices you wish to display the widget, and on which pages the widget should be hidden. Of course, you can also disable the widget entirely.
Disable the option labeled Display the chat when you're offline if you want Tidio to disappear whenever all your operators are offline:
Display the widget on chosen devices
In the visibility settings you can also decide to show the Tidio widget only on chosen devices. You can select from three available options from a drop-down menu:
Both on mobile and desktop devices
The chat will be displayed on every page of your website (on desktop and mobile devices).
Only on desktop devices
The chat will be only visible to users who open your website on their desktop computers.
Only on mobile devices
The chat will be only visible to users who opened your website through their mobile devices.
Disable the chat entirely
If you wish to completely disable the chat widget on your website (without uninstalling it), disable the Display Widget toggle. This will hide the widget entirely on your website.
Hide on specific pages
To hide the Tidio widget on specific pages only, you can use the Hide on specific pages option:
When you click on the link, a new window will appear to select the pages on which the widget will no longer be displayed. You can list different URLs for desktop and mobile devices separately:
Disable for Exact URL Address
If you wish to hide the Tidio chat widget on specific pages, you'll need to select that option and put the exact URL addresses individually into the field, and click Add:
To Save your new settings, simply close the popup window, then scroll down to the bottom of the Appearance section and click on the Save button.
Disable for pages whose address contains a keyword or phrase
If you would like to disable the chat widget on pages that include the a specific phrase (or word) in the website's address - the Address contains option is for you. It allows you to hide the chat widget on more than just one page at a time, as long as the page's address contains what you've listed.
Select the Address contains option, then insert the keyword or phrase into the URL field, and click Add:
To Save your new settings, simply close the popup window, then scroll down to the bottom of the Appearance section and click on the Save button.
Example
Let's say we want to hide the Tidio widget inside all the Help Center articles from the 'Chatbots' category. In this case, I will include the link www.help.tidio.com/chatbots in the page field, mark it as Address contains, and click on the add button. Now, the chat widget will be visible in all the other Help Center articles but not inside the articles from the 'Chatbots' category.
Once you've added some pages to hide Tidio on, you will see the number of those pages in the Widget Visibility settings. This will quickly let you know that the Hide on specific pages option is being used:
Hide for specific countries
To hide your widget from specific countries, it's very simple! You can use the Hide or display for specific countries option:
Clicking the link opens a new window where you can choose which countries you will hide or display the widget on. You can pick as many countries as you like.
