See how to integrate Tidio with the Mailchimp account to see the email addresses of your website's visitors collected through the Pre-Chat survey tool on your Mailchimp list.

Integrate Tidio with MailChimp

Set up the integration by going to the Settings > General > Integrations section in your Tiido panel and clicking on the Mailchimp tile.


The app is now added to your account. To fully integrate Tidio Chat with Mailchimp, you need your List ID and API Key. You can find these by logging into your Mailchimp account.

Later, return to your Tidio panel and select Mailchimp from the Integrations section. You can now provide your List ID and API key and click add. 


With the integration, an opt-in for a newsletter will be added to the Pre-Chat Survey. For the opt-in to be showing there, the Pre-Chat Survey has to be enabled in the chat. Learn more about the Pre-Chat Survey.

This allows the visitor to express their consent and include their email addresses in the mailing list on MailChimp. 

Done! You have integrated your Tidio chat with Mailchimp.


When you create a new list in Mailchimp, you'll need to choose the opt-in setting you want to use for its associated signup forms. Our integration supports only the double opt-in at the moment.

New Tidio integration with Mailchimp (BETA Version)

Our new Tidio integration with Mailchimp allows you to automatically:

  • add new subscribers from pre-chat survey to Mailchimp
  • add new subscribers from chatbots to Mailchimp
  • manually change subscriber status in Tidio panel and pass it to Mailchimp


At this moment, this version of the Mailchimp integration is only available for our beta testers. We're testing the solution to release it to a wider audience in the best version possible.

You can set up the integration by going to the Settings > General > Integrations section in your Tido panel and clicking on the Mailchimp tile.

You’ve now added the app to your account. However, to fully integrate Tidio Chat with Mailchimp, you need to authorize the Tidio and Mailchimp connection. To do so, please: 

  • Select New connection in the green bracket
  • Log in to your Mailchimp account
  • Click the Allow button

You gave Tidio access to your Mailchimp account, so we can add subscribers to your Mailchimp account.

In the next step, select the Mailchimp Audience to which new subscribers will be added. Click Finish when you’re all done. Remember! Tidio integration allows adding subscribers to a single audience only.

We recommend our Zapier integration if you wish not to use the double-opt-in.

How to add new subscribers from Tidio to Mailchimp (BETA Version)

New subscribers can be added to Mailchimp from Tidio in a few scenarios we describe below. 

Pre-chat Survey

When you have the Pre-chat Survey enabled and a user provides their email address and communication consent, this email will be automatically added to your Mailchimp Audience.

Manual status update

You can change a user’s subscriber status manually. When you change it to “Subscribed,” we will pass the user’s email to Mailchimp.

Chatbot (coming soon)

You can also add subscribers to Mailchimp using a chatbot and the Subscribe for Mailing node. When you collect an email address using such a chatbot, we pass it automatically to your Mailchimp Audience.

Remember! Our integration with Mailchimp supports double-opt-in confirmation emails. This means that if your Audience in Mailchimp is set to double opt-in, a confirmation email will automatically be sent to a new subscriber. The new subscriber will be added to the Audience only when they confirm the sign-up. You can change the list settings in your Mailchimp account.
